Creating a Contract

The contracts menu can be accessed via the left sidebar where a “Contracts” option is listed. This will display a list of all contracts.

Creating a Contract:

To create a new contract, click on the “Create Contract” button to the top right of the menu.

Once in the create contract menu, enter all required details, all category titles marked with a red asterisk indicates required information.

Below is a table of information regarding some fields of the contract creation form:

Category

Description

Job Number

An identifying label assigned by you.

Jurisdiction

If you are in the UK or New Zealand, this field is automatically filled in. If in Australia, the state must be specified.

Contractor Contract

Select a contractor from from the existing list of contractors you have entered.

Contract Value

Select one of the contacts associated with the ocntractor. These are the same contacts that you added when adding the contractor.

Max Retention Allowed

The total value of retentins to be withheld.

PC Retention Release

The percentage of retention money payed out at the practical completion date.

Practical Completion Date

The expected date of completion of the project.

Defects End Date

The latest date at which retentions will be withheld. All retentions are paid by this date.

Once you have entered all details and ensured they are correct, click the “Create Contract” Button at the bottom of the form. The contract can also be saved as a draft in its unfinished state.

Drafts will appear in the same list in the main contacts menu and are clearly marked as drafts.
